Back Tracking - Architecture & Advertising Years

This section will document Max’s professional creative work after graduation from Texas A&M University, in the spring of 1974.  It will include his professional work in the major fields of advertising and architecture.  It will also include his other creative projects made during this time period, including the Greiners wedding rings and cake. The amazing wedding cake featured four real raccoon legs holding up a top layer of cake, which was graced with a buck and a doe, instead of a plastic bride and groom!

Max’s first full-time job after college was with The Architects Partnership of Dallas, Texas. Max worked for Reagan George, David George and Ron Bradshaw from 1974 until 1976, until he accepted an advertising job in Valencia, California with Jennings Compound Bow Inc.  Jennings was the third largest archery company in the world at the time.  Hired originally as a commercial artist, within one year Max was promoted to the Director of Advertising & Promotion.  The skills and knowledge Max acquired from these two jobs would later be applied to his own career as an independent artist, which began in the spring of 1978.
